Agatha Nnaji
Managing Director
Geometric Power, Nigeria

Agatha Nnaji is the first female Managing Director of Geometric Power (GP), a pioneer indigenous power company that develops, operates power generation and distribution assets in Nigeria. She has effectively led GP's highly qualified Engineers and other non-technical team members, despite being a female in a male dominated industry with a non-technical background. She has over 25 year's top management experience in the power sector and hospitality industry.

Agatha is a highly acknowledged advocate, mentor and speaker in development issues, with special focus on power and gender. She has mentored and encouraged several young female engineers as well as non-engineers to join the power industry in Nigeria.

Agatha and her team are working with their JV partner GE to develop a 500MW OMA power plant in Nigeria. They are also partnering with Orascom of Egypt to build a 540 MW gas-fired power plant in Nigeria.

Through her ICT Team, she has sponsored research for technology driven smart metering and are developing an integrated data management centre in Nigeria. She is leading the effort with the Head of the UN-accredited Songhai Farms in Benin Republic to develop and implement an integrated Agro-Energy project in Enugu State of Nigeria.

Agatha is a Social Entrepreneur/Change-maker and an Ashoka Fellow. She serves as the Vice President of the Independent Power Producers Association of Nigeria, IPPAN and serves as a Director on the Board of various successful companies.

She is the pioneer Lady Captain of IBB Golf & Country Club Abuja, and has won several awards for her contributions to her community, including the prestigious Martin Luther King Community Service Award from the US Embassy (USAID office) in 1996.

She is married to Professor Bart Nnaji and they are blessed with four children.
