A Graduate of the University of Zambia -School of Mines (Bachelor of Mineral Sciences) and with a Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Nottingham of the United Kingdom.


  • Worked for Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) on the Copperbelt of Zambia for 3 years and later joined Zambia Environmental Management Agency (ZEMA) as an Environmental Impact Assessment Inspector for various national developmental projects including ICT, agriculture, energy and water resources projects, undertaking pre-approval inspections for proposed projects as well as compliance monitoring.
  • In 2006, joined Rural Electrification Authority (REA) of Zambia and served for 7 years as Environmental Specialist for all Rural Electrification projects in Zambia including solar, hydro and grid extension electrification projects , notable among them such project as Euros’ 10 Million European Union funded Mumbwa and Kaoma Districts grid extension electrification project (electrification of farming blocks in the two districts) and the World Bank funded Increased Access To Electricity Services Projects.
  • In 2014, Joined the Zambezi River Authority (a Bi-national water resources management authority  established between Zambia and Zimbabwe to obtain the greatest possible advantage from the shared water of the Zambezi River between the two countries) as Director responsible for water resources and environmental management and is serving there to date, being the focal person for the implementation of various programs such as Integrated Water Resources Management in relation to the Zambezi River, the Energy-Water-Food NEXUS approach project , management of preparatory studies for the implementation of the Batoka Gorge Hydro Electric Scheme and Devils Gorge Hydro Electric Scheme and the Kariba Dam Rehabilitation Project, Head of Information Communication technology and Project Director for the on-going ZRA Enterprise Resource Planning Project among others.
