Oumarou Hamandjoda
Deputy CEO
ENEO, Cameroon

Professor Oumarou HAMANDJODA, is born in 1964 in Maroua Cameroon. He has been serving as Deputy CEO of AES-SONEL Cameroon from 2009 to 2014 and Deputy CEO of Eneo (Energy of Cameroon) from 2014 till date.

He is also a full professor at the National Advanced School of Engineering of the University of Yaounde 1. He holds an MSc in Hydropower Plants Engineering and a Ph.D in Power Engineering, both from Moscow State Civil Engineering University, and an Executive MBA from ESG-UQAM, Canada. Prior to joining the University, Oumarou served as Investment Officer at IFC, Douala office, from 1997 to 1998.

Overall, Professor Oumarou Hamandjoda is passionate about energy sector policy, governance in the energy sector, energy sector stakeholder management, privatization management, renewable energy, government stakeholder relationship management, project management, distribution efficiency, smart technologies related to energy sector, and KPI monitoring.

Eneo is an Actis subsidiary operating an electrical energy distribution and generation concession in Cameroon since 2014.
