Doug Waters

Doug Waters is the Director of Energy Services at Uniper. Before this he was the head of Local Fleet Management for EON Espana Generation in Madrid, being responsible for the Local Asset Management team of E.ON’s 5GW of thermal and hydro portfolio in Spain. One of the main issues Doug dealt with here was around making the assets respond to the challenges of the significant renewable penetration through increased flexibility and commercial positioning. Prior to that he led the fleet wide renegotiation of E.ON’s portfolio of long term service agreements contract for the global portfolio of CCGTs. During his nearly 20 years in the power industry, Doug Waters has also worked on projects in Europe, India and US.
