Vikram Kailas is the Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Mytrah Energy, the AIM (LSE) listed power producer established in 2009 in Hyderabad, India. Mytrah is one of India's leading pure play renewable power generators with a focus on delivering sustainable, clean energy in a world without subsidies. Over the last 8 years, the firm has built a 2-gigawatt portfolio of operational and under construction assets across 9 Indian states, with an investment of $2 billion.

Mytrah's operations are supported by strong relationships with key business partners including turbine vendors like GE, Vestas and Suzlon, investors like Blackrock, Capital Group, Henderson Global, Goldman Sachs and BofA Merrill Lynch, and lenders like Asian Development Bank and State Bank of India.

Vikram has overseen Mytrah Energy's evolution into India's 'Smart Utility' with robust end-to-end capabilities in renewable power generation. Mytrah has strong in-house capabilities across the entire value chain from site identification to project development and asset management. Led by a highly regarded management team with extensive industry experience, the firm is one of the leading lights of the fast-growing renewable power generation sector.

Apart from running a successful business, Vikram also oversees the firm's social initiatives that are run through the Mytrah Foundation. The Foundation partners with institutions like UNICEF, the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh and the Pullela Gopichand Foundation to develop and implement focused, scalable social impact programs. Vikram also champions the Mytrah Grants Program, the firm's in-house initiative to promote entrepreneurship by providing grants to promising early stage ventures.

Vikram has a B. Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai and an MBA from the Yale School of Management and had previously worked with the Energy & Utilities Investment Banking group of Credit Suisse in New York and Deloitte Consulting in India.
