Ato is Senior Director, Investments Group at the Africa Finance Corporation (AFC). His investment banking and management experience spans many African countries including South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia and Angola. Ato has particular expertise in infrastructure & project financing and has been involved in various award-winning transactions, including Azura IPP (Nigeria), Cenpower IPP (Ghana), Eskom Kusile Power Plant (South Africa), Angola Domestic Submarine Cable (Angola), Tema Port Expansion (Ghana), Tongaat Hulett Sugar (Mozambique) and the Lekki -Epe Expressway (Nigeria).  Prior to joining AFC, Ato was Co-Head of Investment Banking at Rand Merchant Bank Nigeria.

Ato has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and an MBA and practiced as an engineer prior to his career in investment banking.  He has design, construction and project-management experience in various countries in Africa.
