Rahul Gupta is a Senior Expert in the Electric Power & Natural Gas Practice at McKinsey & Company.

Based in Singapore, Rahul has deep expertise in Gas, LNG, and Power markets across Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, South Asia and Australia, and EVs in Indonesia. With over 14 years of experience, he has worked extensively with both private and public-sector clients in providing distinctive analysis that enables energy players to make key decisions on strategy, investment, and performance.

Some of his recent work includes developing power market perspective and renewable strategies for multiple ASEAN countries, leading outside-in assessment of 5-year financial outlook of power, water and gas businesses across Asia, and developing long-term economy wide energy efficiency roadmap for an ASEAN country.

Prior to McKinsey, Rahul worked with a major Indian industrial paint manufacturer, where he was responsible for planning, scheduling and control of the company’s major product lines. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Technology in Mumbai.
